BRIDGE study

Welcome to the website of the national BRIDGE study for children with a chronic condition and their family. We are delighted that you would like to participate in the research!

What is the reason for the study?

The aim of this research is to improve the transition from the hospital to home. We understand that this transition is often perceived as significant and challenging. Therefore, we aim to gain more insight into the functioning of children and parents who are discharged from the hospital to home using a set of questionnaires. These questionnaires will help us gather essential information and tailor the care and support better to your needs.

What are the questionnaires about?

The questionnaires contain questions about various aspects of the child's functioning, such as physical health, emotional well-being, and daily activities. Additionally, there are questions focused on the well-being of the parents and how they experience the care and support. The questionnaires are specifically designed to be easy to understand and complete.

What is expected from you?

You will be asked to fill out questionnaires on three occasions, which will take a maximum of 50 minutes of your time. This will be at the time of discharge to home, 3 months later, and 12 months later. Depending on the child's age, the questions will be filled out by the child and/or the parents.
